BRIEF:

Replicate Serves from Wimbledon Centre Court in real-time.

RESULT:

Building a fully custom tennis ball launcher, attached to a 3m Industrial Robot Arm.

Capable of launching tennis balls up to 153mph (the record at Wimbledon).

Participants are able to choose either live serves from the tournament, or from a menu of the greatest serves. They then take the court, and face down the robot.

The robot can replicate speed, direction, elevation and spin.
